Wolf Howling is BACK ...

... with a vengeance.

After a seven and a half month absence (since May 22), one of my favorite bloggers ( Wolf Howling ) has put up five new posts in the last two days.

In a comment to one of those posts, I wondered "What happened?", and suggested that that was worthy of a post of its own.

If he picks up on that, I suspect that a quote from John Lennon would likely cover it:

"Life is what happens while we're making other plans."

1. Thanks so much for the kind words and the post.

2. The Lennon quote would cover a goodly portion of it all, with an addendum. Blogger stopped working for me literally months ago, with the introduction of their new UI. I did not want to restart a blog, I could not keep the same name at wordpress, and the people at google were utterly useless in helping me. I gave up.

3. Just a few days ago, I switched to Google Chrome as my browser of choice. On a fluke, I tried my blog and, lo and behold, I could post and edit again.

At any rate, thanks again Paul. Hope all is well. GW

Re: Blogger, and Google Chrome ...

Been there and done that.

See Your browser is no longer ...

At a friend's suggestion, I downloaded the latest version of Firefox, and liked it for a while, but it does an awful lot of disk cranking while accessing web pages, so I went back to the Chrome I used to fix my editing problem.
As I got used to it, I liked it more and more.

It doesn't appear to eat up all of your resources as the later Firefox versions do, and is more responsive.

As for the note in my post about the imported bookmarks being on the "wrong" side of the page, well clearing out some duplicate bookmarks (with an extension called Bookmark Sentry, available in the Google Chrome Apps store for free download) seemed to fix that.

Good luck with the new system.
